What kind of appointment do you need?

Before booking a New Patient TRT Consultation and commencing treatment under our care, you will need to have a formal diagnosis of Testosterone Deficiency.

An accurate diagnosis can only be made following a comprehensive blood test that includes a full hormone panel, as well as your more general health parameters which would highlight any potential reversible causes for your low testosterone. 

TRT should always be viewed as a life-long therapy. Treatment will only be recommended by our providers if you have already attempted to address any negative health and lifestyle factors, or there are no obvious reversible causes for your low testosterone.

When you first make contact with Elite Men’s Health, the path that you follow with us will typically start from one of three routes:

1. If you feel that you are suffering with the signs and symptoms of Testosterone Deficiency we can help you obtain the necessary diagnostic blood testing through our clinic. Once you get your blood drawn and have results, you will need to schedule your initial appointment. During this appointment, we will review your initial comprehensive blood results with you and give you our professional recommendations for moving forward.
2. If you have recently had blood tests completed, the results indicate possible low testosterone, and you wish to be considered for treatment by our clinic, please schedule your initial appointment and email your lab results to us at soulfulsanctuaryllc@outlook.com, including a brief summary of what led you to test in the first instance. These will be reviewed by our provider in preparation for your appointment.  
3. If you are already on Testosterone Replacement Therapy and wish to transfer your care to our clinic, please schedule your initial appointment, email any relevant blood results you have to date (including your original diagnostic ones) to soulfulsanctuaryllc@outlook.com, and include a brief summary of your current treatment. 

If you wish to discuss your personal situation prior to scheduling or committing to any treatment with us, you are welcome to book a 15-minute Telephone Consultation with one of our providers. There is a fee for this service.

Your new client appointment will be an in-person consultation with our provider. At this appointment your provider will thoroughly review your bloodwork, discuss your current symptoms, and conduct a thorough physical examination before commencing treatment with you.

We will review your medical history and current/past medication usage which may be influencing your current state of health, and the ongoing decisions we make about your care.

Your social history is also taken into consideration, including any past drug usage, as this can often provide a useful insight into your current testosterone level. The information you give is in complete confidence so the more information you give us, the more we can potentially assist you.

Where appropriate, your provider will go through safe preparation of your injectable medications, and gently guide you through safe and correct injection technique so that you leave the consultation room with confidence, ready to embark on the next stage in your journey.

If you are a transfer of care from another clinic or provider and already stable on treatment, please allow 60 minutes for this appointment. Otherwise, please allow 90 minutes.

All new patients must attend in-person for their New Patient Consultation and for their first annual review, usually 12-15 months later. This is non-negotiable as it promotes safe and effective practice.

After your first annual review in clinic, if you are stable on treatment, you can be approved for remote consultations and will no longer be required to attend clinic annually. Your treatment can then be managed remotely if preferred.

TRANSFERS OF CARE: If you have come directly from another clinic or provider and are already stable on treatment, you are only required to attend clinic for your initial 60-minute New Patient Consultation. You will then have the option of moving to remote consultations thereafter.

There is no need to stop the treatment you are on prior to seeing us for your New Patient Consultation.

Your first formal follow up appointment is usually 10-11 weeks after starting treatment with us. Then routine follow-up is every 6-12 months.

You have the option of attending clinic for these appointments, where the necessary monitoring blood tests can be taken as part of your appointment, so no need to arrange for these in advance. Alternatively, if opting for a video consultation, we can help you arrange your blood tests remotely.

This appointment is an opportunity for your provider to review your current protocol, discuss any health concerns that you might have, and formulate an on-going action plan so that we can continue to safely and effectively prescribe your TRT. Your next three months of medications will also be issued at this appointment.

For all video consultations, you have the option of either a 15-minute or 30-minute appointments.  If everything is going well with nothing to report, you are welcome to opt for a 15-minute appointment, otherwise please book a 30-minute appointment.

Please allow up to 30 minutes for all in-clinic appointments.

All patients must attend present in clinic for their first follow up consultation, usually 12-15 months after commencing treatment, so that a physical examination can be carried out as appropriate.

After your first follow-up consultation in clinic, if you are stable on treatment you can be approved for remote f/u appointments and will no longer be required to attend clinic annually. Your treatment can then be managed remotely if preferred.

TRANSFERS OF CARE: If you are already stable on treatment, you have the option of moving to virtual appointments following your initial New Patient Appointment at our clinic. Your treatment can then be managed remotely on an ongoing basis if preferred.

IMPORTANT: If you opt for your annual consultations to be carried out remotely, you will need to provide evidence of a recent blood pressure check prior to your appointment. If you are over 40 years old, you will also need to provide evidence of a recent Digital Rectal Examination (DRE) or MRI, so that your prostate health can be reviewed. This can be arranged through your GP or another private provider if required.

Please forward the above evidence by email PRIOR to your video consultation, as your next prescription(s) will not be issued or dispensed until your notes have been updated with this information.
